Terms of Use
Last updated September 2, 2026.
1. Agreement to these terms
Harvest OS is a product of Frontier Catalyst Advisory ("we," "us," or "our" throughout these terms). By creating a Harvest OS tenant or otherwise using Harvest OS, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you are creating a tenant on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
A tenant may present Harvest OS under its own name, logo, and colors to its own customers and staff (white-labeling) - that changes what the software looks like, not who operates it or who these terms bind you to.
2. Your account and tenant
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for safeguarding your login credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your tenant. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Harvest OS to store or transmit unlawful content, to attempt to access another tenant's data, to interfere with the platform's operation, or to reverse-engineer the service beyond what applicable law permits.
4. Your data
You retain ownership of the business data you enter into your tenant (inventory, orders, production records, and similar). You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide the service to you. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle it.
5. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate a tenant's access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, or unlawful use. You may stop using the service at any time; your data remains yours and export options are available on request.
6. Platform access (free core)
Harvest OS provides a free core platform for farm operations including inventory management, production logging, order management, payment collection, basic financial dashboards, weather alerts, and multi-channel access (web, WhatsApp, USSD). These core services are provided at no cost and will remain free forever.
7. Transaction services (pay-per-use)
Harvest OS facilitates access to financial and commercial services including:
- Embedded financing: a risk-based platform fee, currently 5–18% of the loan principal, disclosed and confirmed before you accept an offer, deducted from the disbursed amount.
- Payment processing: a processing fee, currently 1% of the digital payment amount, on card/transfer payments collected through Harvest OS. Cash payments are never subject to this fee, since Harvest OS never touches the money.
- Provenance verification: a per-verification fee, currently ₦1, charged to the party requesting a batch verification certificate.
- Marketplace: a success fee, currently 3% of the reported trade value, invoiced to the seller once a trade you complete is confirmed. Harvest OS holds no escrow for marketplace trades - they settle directly between the two parties - so this fee is invoiced after the fact, not deducted automatically.
- Parametric insurance: currently offered without a Harvest OS facilitation fee.
See our Fee Schedule for the complete, current rate table. These fees are only charged when the relevant service is used - never for core platform access.
8. Pro subscription (optional)
Harvest OS offers optional Pro subscription tiers (Basic, Business, Enterprise) that provide advanced features including AI forecasting, compliance exports, API access, and priority support. Current pricing is published on our Pricing page. Pro subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; cancellation does not affect access to free core features.
9. Partner revenue share
White-label partners may receive a revenue share of transaction fees generated by their tenant base, as specified in the Partner Agreement. Revenue share rates are transparent and disclosed to partners prior to contract execution - see our Partner Revenue Share terms.
10. Data ownership and monetization
You retain ownership of your operational data. Harvest OS may use anonymized, aggregated data for:
- Cross-tenant benchmarking (only for tenants who opt in)
- B2B data product sales (fully anonymized)
No individual tenant data is sold or shared without your explicit consent.
11. Refunds and reversals
Transaction fees are generally non-refundable once the underlying service has been delivered. If a financed loan is cancelled before use, or a marketplace trade is disputed and resolved in the buyer's favor, the associated platform fee may be reversed. Pro subscription fees may be refunded within 7 days of payment if no Pro features were used.
12. Disclaimers and liability
Harvest OS is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Harvest OS after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
